Short Term Missions
This page is to help Christian believers who have an interest in being involved with Short-Term missionary work. We are in partnership with Rachel Issitt of AOG World Ministries to encourage and to resource these kinds of short-term missions opportunities.
Anyone with a solid Christian lifestyle, who is willing and able, can go on a short-term mission. Some bring their practical skills with them, or the willingness to come and pray or leaflet; others have more recognisable speaking gifts (like preaching or testifying). Whatever your ability, there is room for you!
The usual location for these short-term missions is in Europe and the normal time duration is around ten days. A trip like this would usually cost around £450.00 plus insurance.
For further inspiration, please click on "Mission: From Reflection to Action" in the audio section.
If you feel God calling you to investigate short-term missions' work, your first step would be to speak with the pastoral team.

Kings School Zambia
This is your opportunity to serve in Zambia. There are many opportunities for short and medium term missions to Kings. There are no fixed dates for service which makes this option flexible. Please contact me on office@yourmission.org.uk for further details and the telephone number of the UK contact, Arthur Hibbert, who is responsible for this fantastic work in Zambia.
Kings School Kings School was opened in 2002. They have 360 pupils who are educated and fed free of charge. The school is situated in a very deprived area in the copperbelt region of Northern Zambia, see the web-site - www.lifespringinternational.org
Whilst English is the national language virtually no one speaks it in the area, so teaching English is number one priority and visitors will be asked to take English dialogue classes. Kings School have 11 teachers
Their support base is on a sponsorship base of £15 per pupil per month- all details are supplied to sponsors. In short-term missions there is always class activity - lots and lots of work on decorating class rooms, repairs to existing fittings - building work. If they can get building teams there is much to do.
Medical Facility A clinic has been built which they hope to open this year. It will have a maternity unit- ward for children and a general outpatient unit for help and advice. They are not intending it to become a hospital but it could very easily slip into that category - the demand will be great.
Wanted: Nurses, Doctors, general carers.
Accommodation There is accommodation for about 4 people in a house setting. There is a lovely guest house just down the road which is brand new and very cheap.
